The shaft has a diameter of 29 millimeters and is made out of stainless steel, keeping it corrosion-resistant and easy to clean without damaging the surface of the barbell. This particular barbell does have a center knurling. Based on some reviews, it’s great for high rep sets and is one of the best all-purpose barbells out there.
