Product Summary
The GIANT Northland open trap hex bar is a V4 specialty bar from GIANT Lifting. It features a built-in jack, is rackable on a standard-size power rack, and comes with dual knurled handles for more versatility.
The handles are 28 and 38 millimeters in diameter respectively and come with a medium knurl. They’re 25 inches apart, which can slightly limit the exercises you can perform with this bar—bench press and most overhead press movements will be uncomfortable.
That being said, this bar has a lot going for it. With a built-in jack, you can load up to 600 pounds on the bar (800 pounds if it’s on the ground), which is plenty for most lifters. While the Northland does tip forward when loaded, this probably won’t be a huge deal to most people. It also weighs 45 pounds, which makes for easy math.
