Product Summary
Home Chef is a meal delivery service that gives you plenty of options. Unlike other meal services, there aren’t specific menus or meal plans to choose from. Instead you get access to the company’s full menu and can narrow it down by ingredients, prep time, and other qualifiers like “carb-conscious” and “calorie-conscious.” In addition to meal kits, you can also choose oven-ready meals that don’t require any cooking, prepped microwave-safe meals, and grill-ready meals.
Boxes are delivered weekly, and you can choose whether you’re cooking for two, four, or six people and how many meals you want to receive that week (you can opt for two to six). Once your order is placed, you’ll get a box that’s either full of pre-portioned ingredients with recipe cards that make it easy to go through the step-by-step process—or pre-prepped meals that you can heat and eat.
The menus change weekly and every week there are about 30 different recipes to choose from. This ensures variety and helps prevent food boredom. Since there aren’t specific meal plans, you may not find a ton of variety if you’re on a restricted diet, but you can customize the meals to some degree by eliminating ingredients.
While Home Chef does require a subscription—you’ll be billed weekly when your order ships—you can cancel anytime.
