For this L’Evate You Review, we had Amanda Dvorak, ISSA-CPT, senior editor at GGR, try the greens powder. If someone told me 10 years ago we’d be living in a world where Steve Harvey was selling a wellness supplement, I’d never believe it. Yet here we are with L’Evate You.

If you’ve already seen our picks of the best greens powder, the formulation for this one might look familiar, but there are some novel ingredients that make it stand out from other brands. We get into it and what you can expect from taking L’Evate You down below.

Cons

  • Manufactured in a facility that produces milk, soy, wheat, eggs, peanuts, fish, and tree nuts

Bottom Line

L’Evate Vitality Daily Greens were created by Steve Harvey to help people change their lives and health for the better. This product features an M-Charge blend to help the mitochondria produce energy. The customer reviews for this were mixed on effectiveness and taste.

A Quick Look at L’Evate You

According to Steve Harvey, he started L’Evate You when he discovered his lack of energy, issues with gut health, and brain fog were being caused by damage in his cells—specifically his mitochondria.

L’Evate You Daily Greens contains ingredients that address these. For example, the M-Charge complex is purported to boost mitochondrial function. In addition to greens, the L’Evate You brand also offers energy powders along with Vitality Boost Gummies for Alert & Focus and Digestive Health.

Before You Buy

  • Be prepared to find something to mix it with. The chocolate flavor isn’t too appealing on its own.
  • Take the health claims on the product page with a grain of salt. The quantities of vitamins and minerals in the greens powder are on the low side.

Is L’Evate You Worth It?

The price is decent and the gut health ingredients and mushroom blend are nice. However, the potency just doesn’t justify incorporating these greens into your daily routine. If you’re a fan of Steve Harvey and want to give some support by getting some extra polyphenols or another antioxidant source, it’s a decent option. But it likely won’t be enough to fill all of your nutritional gaps.

Great for:

  • Those who already eat some fruits and veggies, but want an extra boost
  • People who blend their greens with other supplements
  • Those who want flavored greens options

Not recommended for:

  • People who want a super potent greens blend
  • Those looking for significant gut health benefits
  • Individuals sensitive to a strong greens powder flavor

Experience Using L’Evate You

When Amanda Dvorak, ISSA-CPT, tested L’evate You Vitality Daily Greens, she didn’t hate it but couldn’t justify adding it to her regular supplement routine. “Three times has been enough for me because I just can’t get over its taste. I’m not sure I’ll keep taking it,” Amanda reports. She cites the weak potency as another major reason she won’t keep using it.

“If it contained more micronutrients, I’d keep taking it because I’d have reassurance that I was meeting my daily needs. Without that, though, I’m not super incentivized to keep choking this powder down,” she adds.

Amanda was also skeptical about the supplement’s claims. “The quantities of the vitamins, minerals, and proprietary blends seem too low,” Amanda says. “I just don’t consider it to be an all-inclusive greens powder. But if you’re already getting several fruits and vegetables in your diet and want to be sure you’ve got the small gaps covered, it’s an option.”

Price Per Serving

We gave a rating of 3 out of 5 for price since L’evate You Vitality Daily Greens comes out to about $1.78 per serving when you order one bag. You can save 10% to 15% when you buy in bulk or sign up for a subscription. Either way, it’s still not super cheap, but it’s a decent price for a greens powder of this nature.

Formulation

Amanda gave Vitality Daily Greens a 2 out of 5 for formulation. The score is mainly due to the sourcing of whole superfoods, the compounds to help elevate energy levels, and the inclusion of adaptogens from the mushroom blend and digestive health ingredients.

RELATED: Best Time to Take Maca Root

Sounds great, right? Well, her score is so low because these awesome ingredients are mainly wrapped up in proprietary blends labeled things like “digestive enzyme & probiotic blend.” Plus, the quantities are quite low. “None of the micronutrients included, like Vitamin A, contain 100% of the daily value, with only 2% to 12% of your daily value of vitamin C, vitamin B6, calcium, iron, and zinc.”

If you take a greens powder for the antioxidant content and polyphenols, know that L’Evate You includes a variety of greens. However, the greens blend for digestive health—which includes digestive enzymes, prebiotic fiber, and a probiotic—looks great on paper. However, one serving only contains 1 gram of fiber, which says a lot about how much is actually included.

Finally, let’s look at this M-Charge complex that Steve Harvey claims is THE thing that sets his greens powder apart from the rest. It supposedly promotes muscle growth, boosts athletic performance, and “boosts” mitochondrial production. This all sounds super cool, until you dig further into it.

Several Tiktok videos cover the M-Charge complex. However, despite the product page continuously referring to it as “science-backed,” we couldn’t find any study that covers it. Amanda says she’s not an RD (though she is studying to become a certified nutrition coach), so she can’t speak to the claims made for this product. As an actual RD, I have to share in her skepticism.

Taste and Solubility

For taste, we gave L’Evate You Vitality Daily Greens a 2 out of 5. The dietary supplement comes in three flavors: Original, Chocolate, and Tart Cherry. “The chocolate had the highest rating from customer reviews when I was shopping for it, so that’s what I went with,” Amanda discloses. “It’s not great by itself, honestly, and tastes like chocolate-covered beets, if those exist.”

That said, Amanda did manage to make the greens powder taste better. “I mixed it with some of my chocolate protein powder, which helps make the flavor from the greens less intense, but the earthy flavor was still there.”

As far as solubility, we gave the powder a 3.5 out of 5 based on a mixed experience. Amanda says, “It dissolved very well when mixed in a shaker bottle, even without the agitator ball. That said, if you don’t keep shaking it and let it sit, the powder will settle at the bottom.”

Side Effects

We gave a 4.5 out of 5 here, according to Amanda’s feedback. “I did notice some slight bloat, but in all fairness, I did mix the greens with my protein powder, so that’s what it could have been,” Amanda notes.

Third-Party Testing

For third-party testing, we gave L’Evate You Vitality Daily Grains a 1 out of 5. There’s no evidence that it’s tested by a recognized lab.

L’Evate You vs AG1

Athletic Greens AG1

Athletic Greens AG1

  • Available in travel pouches and bundle and save options
  • Said to support gut health with prebiotics, probiotics, and naturally occuring enzymes
  • Supports immunity with key ingredients like vitamin C and mushrooms
  • Magnesium is added to boost energy
  • May aid in recovery as it features superfood complex with adaptogens and antioxidants

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Backed by notable health experts
  • Transparent and detailed ingredient list
  • 75 vitamins and minerals

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Some reviewers dislike the taste

Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a greens powder with a unique blend of minerals, nutrients, power greens, enzymes, and probiotics and you're willing to spend some money, Athletic Greens may be a good choice for you.

We’ve done an Athletic Greens, or AG1, review in the past and wanted to see how L’Evate You stacked up. For starters, AG1 has a serving size that’s almost twice as big as L’Evate You. It’s nearly double the price as well. That said, AG1 also contains superfoods, probiotics, and micronutrients in higher quantities.

Both AG1 and L’Evate You are sweetened with stevia and contain adaptogens, prebiotic fiber, and digestive enzymes. However, only AG1 is third-party tested by NSF for Sport. Unlike L’Evate You, though, AG1 doesn’t come in flavors, and most customer reviews complain about the taste.

Customer Experience

We gave a 5 out of 5 rating for customer experience based on the generous return policy. L’Evate You offers a full refund within 60 days of purchase when you submit a return request form at https://levateyou.loopreturns.com. You have to cover shipping, but the product does not have to be unopened.

Ordering L’Evate You

Amanda had a great experience with the ordering process, noting that it follows the flow of most checkout processes for supplements. “Checkout was really easy,” Amanda adds. “Just pick how many bags you want, choose whether you want to sign up for a subscription, then fill in your billing and shipping information and pay.”

Though she ordered around a holiday, Amanda still received her product a week after ordering.

Customer Reviews

On Amazon, L’evate You Vitality Daily Greens hold a 4.3-out-of-5-star rating based on 99 customer reviews. Most reviews say it’s a great product that tastes good in their coffee, adding it to their daily routine helps with their energy levels.

On the official website, the chocolate powder (which has the most reviews) holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars based on 2,507 reviews. Many say it’s a great product that’s helped with their weight loss goals.

Final Verdict of Our L’Evate You Review

Greens can be great if you’re trying to ease into a plant-based diet or otherwise increase your antioxidant intake. These powders will never be better for your overall health than actual fruits and vegetables, but many find them helpful to fill some gaps.

That said, there are more robust formulations out there than L’Evate You. Though things like the digestive enzyme & probiotic blend sound promising, our team holds a good amount of skepticism that it is as effective as it claims.

Here are a few more things to keep in mind before ordering this greens powder:

  • The 60-day money-back guarantee makes it worth a try, but don’t expect this product alone to fulfill all of your nutritional gaps.
  • Athletes beware: There’s zero indication of independent lab testing.
