Product Summary
The Lifespan RW1000 Rower is a compact rower available for just under $900. This rower is 90 inches long, 18.5 inches wide, and 23 inches high. It has a foldable design to limit the amount of space it takes up when it is not in use. There are also front-mounted transport wheels to easily transport the rower.
The RW1000 has five levels of magnetic resistance using a 16.5 pound flywheel that Lifespan states creates a quiet ride. The slide rail is short at 36 inches long, so taller users beware.
The display on the RW1000 tracks distance, time, calories, stroke count, and strokes-per-minute. There is a padded handgrip, 14-inch injected-foam seat, and large swivel foot pedals. The pulley system uses a fabric strap which is not exceptionally durable.
Reviews of the Lifespan RW1000 are mostly positive. Users thought it was a good beginner rower and appreciated the different levels of resistance. They found the rower to be easy to set up, quiet, and compact. Complaints included lack of a device holder, difficult to read display, limited resistance levels, and poor durability. People found the five levels of resistance were not enough to truly push themselves. Multiple users shared this rower helped them discover they loved rowing and have now started saving up for a Concept 2 Rower.
Many users needed to use the warranty to replace parts, particularly the fabric pulley strap, or had the rower break outside of the warranty period.
