PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

RX Smart Gear EVO (Extreme Velocity Optimized) GO is a customizable, high-end speed rope that was specifically engineered to spin fast while maintaining its durability and reliability. It shares many similarities with RX Smart Gear’s more expensive EVO G2, including the diamond-knurled, corrosion-resistant aluminum handles and a large variety of customizable options,. The main differences between the two ropes is that the GO has shorter handles.

According to RX Smart Gear’s website, many  CrossFit Games athletes who helped test the EVO GO called it the “Ferrari of speed ropes” because it turns so fast. This sentiment is echoed in many of the exceedingly positive reviews on the brand’s website.

Product Summary

The EVO GO is a spunky little sister to the EVO G2. It is reliable, durable, and speedy. In fact, EVO states that the speed of this rope makes it a go-to for many CrossFit Games athletes.

The EVO GO is slightly less expensive than the G2, and while the smaller handles could be problematic for athletes with large hands, the diamond knurling provides added grip and control. The PVC coating for the cable is offered in more than 20 colors, six weights, and lengths for users ranging from 3 feet 5 inches to 7 feet 1 inch.

Although the EVO GO is cheaper than the G2, the $125 sticker still makes it one of the most expensive on the market. This is largely due to the incredibly grippy handles and because you can customize many aspects of the rope. It also comes with its own carrying case that makes storage a breeze, while keeping your rope free from knots and kinks.

Summary

The price of this rope is a bit of a gut punch. However, while similar performances could most likely be obtained with less expensive speed ropes, the EVO GO is an across-the-board beauty. If it is in your budget, get this rope.
