Product Summary
The Schwinn 290 Recumbent Bike is the new, and frankly improved version of the Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike. The biggest improvement comes in the form of magnetic resistance over friction resistance, which is what the 27o used. The 290 is whisper-quiet in use and the turns are much smoother—we highly recommend this upgrade.
The 290 also connects to Zwift and JRNY, whereas the 270 was compatible with MyFitnessPal and Explore the World. The 7-inch touchscreen display is a nice convenience to have on a relatively affordable recumbent exercise bike, and a big upgrade from the LCD console on the 270.
