There are 6 inches of space for loading weights. The Solo Tib Bar can also hold up to 100 pounds of weight, so you can continue to strengthen your tibialis and improve your workouts as time goes on. This particular bar can accommodate 2-inch Olympic size metal plates, as well as rubber bumper plates.
It also comes with a clamp to ensure all of your weight plates stay on during your workout. Some reviewers claim the clamp does still slide, so it may be best to find a different clamp if this happens to you.
