Product Summary
WeightWatchers is one of the longest running weight loss programs available. The company has been around since 1963, and is targeted specifically to weight loss by using a tracking system called Points.
Each membership relies on a point system. WeightWatchers assigns a specific number of Points to a food based on its nutritional breakdown (fiber, protein, added sugars, fats, etc.). At the start of each day, you get a targeted point budget that’s based on your goals. You track your food as you eat it, trying to stay at or under that point budget.
There are two membership options—a Core membership and a Premium membership. The Core membership, which starts at $23 per month, gives you access to a nutrition plan, recipes, trackers, and a digital community. The Premium membership gives you all of this, plus coach-led workshops (in-person or virtual), and feedback on weekly behavior with recommended changes. This plan starts at $45 per month. There are often promo periods that let you sign up at a discounted rate for six months.
Access to a companion app is included in the membership. This app helps you track your Points, weight, and activity level. You can also access WW-approved recipes and connect with other members, depending on the plan you sign up for.
