PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
Wright’s Next Generation Bearing Barbells offer functionality, style and durability at an exceptional price. Both the 15- and 20-kilogram bar is offered in seven Cerakote colored finishes on the shaft and the sleeves come coated in either a black or clear zinc. Made from American Steel, the Next Generation Barbells each undergo a rigorous 22-point inspection to ensure it meets the highest standards.
With a 201,000 PSI tensile strength, lifters can rest assured that this bar is built to last. Each bar is outfitted with needle bearings which make for a fast spin. The dual knurling marks are more aggressive than you may find on other barbells. But, the knurling goes all the way to the sleeve on both the 15- and 20-kilogram barbell, which is a nice touch when using a wider grip.

Product Summary
If you are looking for a high quality barbell at an affordable price, the Wright Next Generation Bearing Barbell is a fantastic choice. Made with American Steel, both the 15- and 20-kilogram barbells are offered in seven different Cerakote color finishes as well as either clear or black zinc sleeves. Should you prefer Cerakote coating on the sleeve, barbells can be custom ordered.
The Next Generation Barbells meet IWF specifications with a 28-millimeter diameter on the 20-kilogram bar and a 25-millimeter diameter on the 15. Each bar must pass a 22-point inspection process, which ensures the quality that the Wright name brings. Additionally, with a 201,000 PSI tensile strength, these barbells are built to last.
The dual knurling on these barbells is more aggressive than comparable bars. This makes them less than ideal for high rep workouts but, with a fast spin and moderate whip, the Next Generation Barbells are still great for both powerlifting and CrossFit workouts. And, the knurling goes all the way to the collar which is great for people with long arms, mobility issues or those who otherwise prefer the full length.
Further, the lack of a center knurl makes for an all around great barbell. There are some reviews out there that felt the spin was noisy and not smooth but, the overwhelming majority had only positive things to say about the spin. The Wright Next Generation Bearing Barbells are easily maintained as the needle bearings can be removed and cleaned.
