Product Summary
La Sportiva’s Ultra Raptor II is an all-terrain shoe designed for distance trail runs and hikes. This is the newest iteration of the shoe, replacing the original Ultra Raptor. This shoe comes in a variety of models including wide, GTX, mid-top, and leather.
The Ultra Raptor II features a full-length Endurance Platform EVA rock guard to protect you from sharp rocks while hitting the trails. The outsole uses FriXion rubber with aggressive lugs and a Trail Bite heel to provide maximum grip. The shoe has a molded EVA midsole to provide cushioning and absorb shock. La Sportiva claims the transkinetic heel stabilizer and TPU lacing harness create a secure and snug fit to provide extra stability.
There are very limited reviews of the Ultra Raptor II. Positive reviews liked the grippy tread and found the shoe very comfortable. Negative reviews complained that the new version was slightly wider than the previous iteration and they didn’t like the fit as much.
